A Cinematic World Built in Unreal Engine 5.5 That Continues Beyond the Final Frame

Real time gives us more than a final image. It gives us a world we can keep working in.

A Porsche 992 GT3 RS Manthey

moves through the last light of the day. A driver takes the wheel, the road opens up and the landscape starts to pass by.
It feels like a moment captured somewhere far away. The place itself is entirely digital.

We created the racetrack, the landscape, the car and the driver in Unreal Engine 5.5. We think in images. Lighting, composition, materials, movement and atmosphere have always been part of our language. Unreal Engine offers a fresh perspective on this approach. For this project, we created a fictional racetrack from scratch, building the world around the desired aesthetic of the film.

The Porsche became an integral part of that world. We spent days developing the vehicle physics until driving the car felt realistic. Now, you can pick up a controller, enter the scene and drive the Porsche around the track yourself, which is when the experience becomes truly immersive. The scene becomes a place that you can enter, explore, and continue to shape.

For the film, we drove the Porsche through the track, placed the cameras where the scene felt strongest and rendered the sequences directly in Unreal Engine with Lumen.

The track remains fully accessible once filming is complete. It can be presented live, explored interactively and adapted to new scenarios. When applied to a real location and connected to real data, the same environment can form the basis of a digital twin.

Real time changes the image into a portal to a world that is still accessible, can be explored and is open to change. This feels like a natural progression from the way we already work. Although the tools and possibilities have changed, the way we see and create images remains the same.

The film may end, but the world goes on. The Porsche can keep driving, the scene can keep changing and the next idea can start right where this one finishes.
